Welcome to the spring edition of the JACSW alumni newsletter
So many JACSW students rely on scholarships to complete their educations. This month we’re highlighting Harvey Treger, Professor Emeritus, who has given his support in the form of scholarships for field placements in police social work. We’re also taking the time to highlight the Diabetes Empowerment Education Program, a program developed by JACSW focusing on closing the gap in health disparities for underserved populations through health literacy, educational programming, and policy change
As always, we have a number of faculty and staff updates as well as alumni updates. And, check out our gallery of new JACSW alumni. Congratulations to the Class of 2016! Make sure to mark your calendars for “Strategies for an Outcome Based School Social Work Practice: Making Data Work for You,” and see which big alumni event is back by popular demand next year in April 2017.
